FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Velocity is committed to making sure that our programs are as accessible as possible. Our work trade programs and TBIPOC waivers are two ways that participants can mitigate the costs of their summer study.
Velocity’s Work Trade program provides the opportunity for participants to receive Velocity Work Trade Credits that can be used as “currency” for Velocity classes and shows at SFD+I and throughout the year in exchange for admin + operational tasks. Each Work Trade position has pre-allocated hours that are all mandatory for the position (outside of emergencies and sickness). For every hour that the Work Trade works they will receive 25 Velocity Work Trade Credits. One Velocity Work Trade Credit is worth $1.
Applications will be assessed based on the applicant’s experience and their interest in the position and Velocity’s programming as expressed in their cover letter.
Work Trade participants can trade to participate in:
ULTIMATE SFD+I: July 13 – Aug 10
PERFORMANCE Cohorts: July 13 – Aug 2
RESEARCH Week: Aug 3 – 10
–as well as other shows and workshops throughout Velocity’s Season
Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. Applications will close February 1, 2025
